Hyundai Creta EV: New Delhi. South Korean car maker Hyundai Motor India (Hyundai Motor India) has launched its popular mid-size SUV Creta (Hyundai Creta EV) has been revealed in India. Hyundai is launching its new electric SUV (Hyundai EV SUV) will be launched at the upcoming Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Hyundai Creta EV (Hyundai Creta EV) will be offered with two battery pack options – 51.4 KWH, 42 KWH. Four variants will be available in the electric SUV. This includes Executive, Smart, Premium and Excellence variants.

The company claims that the car will run up to 473 km on a full charge and it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.9 seconds. Apart from this, it will get more than 70 safety features including Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). This will be the cheapest EV of the company. Its starting price can be kept at Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete with Tata Curve EV, Mahindra BE6, MG ZS EV and the upcoming Maruti E Vitara.

Hyundai Creta EV (Hyundai Creta EV) has a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor for performance, with which three driving modes are available – Eco, Normal and Sport. The company claims that the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.9 seconds.

To power the electric motor, two battery pack options 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh will be provided with the EV. The company claims that the car will run 473 kilometers on a full charge with the 51.4kWh battery pack and 390 kilometers with the 42kWh battery pack. Information about the electric motor specification of Creta EV is yet to be revealed.

The Creta EV will take 58 minutes to charge from 10 to 80% via a DC fast charger, while its battery will be charged from 10 to 100% in four hours via an 11 kW AC wall box charger.

Dual Digital Display, Front Ventilated Seat

Hyundai Creta EV has a dual tone cabin, which will be similar to the standard Creta. It has a 3-spoke steering wheel with drive selector lever like the Hyundai Ioniq 5 car. Its lower center console will also be different.

Like the ICE Creta, a dual digital display will be provided on the dashboard. The EV will also be provided with features like dual camera dashcam, 10.25-inch digital driver display, dual-zone AC, vehicle-to-load (V2L) charging and drive mode.

Tire Pressure Monitoring System

Apart from this, the car has front ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), three-point seat belt on the rear seat, adjustable rear headrest, 60:40 split rear bench and 2-step recliner. Features like seat are available.

6 air bags, 360 degree camera and level-2 ADAS

For safety, the car can be provided with Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) features with 6 airbags (standard) and 360 degree camera, which can include safety features like adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist. Apart from this, features like Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Parking Sensor and ISOFIX Child Anchor Seat will also be available.

Charging port below Hyundai logo

Hyundai has kept the design of Creta EV similar to the regular Creta SUV. Its front has connected LED daytime running lights (DRL), vertical dual-pod LED headlight like regular Creta. In between there is a pixelated grill with small cubes, in the center of which there is a charging port below the Hyundai logo. There are 4 retractable air vents on the lower grille, which will keep the electric motor and battery components cool. The EV misses out on front fog lamps and silver skid plates.

17-inch alloy wheels like Naxon EV

On the sides of the car, 17-inch alloy wheels with aerodynamic design have been provided, which are like Tata Nexon EV. The silver window applique found in the Creta regular model has been replaced with black finish. It also has a silver skid plate on the side. A connected LED taillight is provided in the rear, which is the same as the regular Creta. Here, black trim is also provided at the bottom of the boot gate, new designed bumper with pixel element and silver skid plate.
