Famous industrialist Gautam Adani paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai at the Chief Minister’s residence office today. Chief Minister Sai welcomed him to Chhattisgarh by presenting him a shawl and Nandi made by local artists.
During the meeting with Chief Minister Sai, Adani announced investment of more than Rs 65 thousand crore in the energy and cement sectors in Chhattisgarh. Adani said that Adani Group will invest Rs 60 thousand crore for the expansion of its power plants in Raipur, Korba and Raigarh of Chhattisgarh. Through these projects, the state’s power generation capacity will increase by an additional 6,120 MW.

Chairman Adani further said that Adani Group will also invest Rs 5,000 crore for the development and expansion of cement plants in the state. This step will strengthen the industrial development of the state and create new employment opportunities.

Adani told Chief Minister Sai that Rs 10,000 crore will be invested in the next four years to promote education, health, skill development and tourism through Adani Foundation. This initiative will take the social and economic development of the state to new heights.

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai praised this initiative of Adani Group and called it a big step for the development of Chhattisgarh. He also assured every possible cooperation from the state government. He said that this investment will not only strengthen the economic and industrial position of Chhattisgarh, but will also prove to be an important step towards including it among the leading states of the country.
