Remove all obstacles in land acquisition for railway project works: Deputy Chief Minister

In the meeting held in the Commissioner’s office auditorium, Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla reviewed the progress of construction of Lalitpur-Singrauli railway line. In the meeting, point-wise review of railway line construction from Panna to Satna, Govindgarh to Sidhi and Sidhi to Singrauli was done. In the meeting, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla said that the area will develop only through infrastructure development. Highway airport facility has been made available for development in Vindhya region. Once the work of Lalitpur-Singrauli railway line is completed, the development of entire Vindhya will gain momentum. Through this, employment opportunities and industrialization will increase rapidly. For the construction of Lalitpur-Singrauli railway line, all the hurdles in land acquisition should be removed within seven days and land should be made available to the Railways. Make arrangements for houses by giving alternative residential land to the places from where poor, Scheduled Caste and Tribe families are being displaced. Collectors should complete the displacement proceedings with full sensitivity. Take strict action against those who build assets on land earmarked for Railways just for compensation. Take strict action against those who unduly obstruct the railway construction work.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that Rs 17 crore has been deposited by the Railways in the Forest Department for the construction work between Sidhi and Singrauli. The Forest Divisional Officer should issue departmental permission to the Railways within the time limit of 15 days so that the tender can be processed. The construction work of bridge on Son river near Churhat and bridge on Gopad river near Bahri and 17 proposed tunnels should be done expeditiously. Collectors should resolve all cases of direct land acquisition and compensation distribution within seven days. Railway officials should start the construction work expeditiously as soon as the land is acquired. The railway line from Govindgarh to Rampur Naikin will be inaugurated in the summer. Collector Satna should remove the obstacles in the remaining work of doubling of Rewa to Satna railway line. The work should be started by distributing compensation to those affected by land acquisition immediately and removing the obstacles to construction.

In the meeting, MP Sidhi Dr. Rajesh Mishra said that work is being done rapidly by Railways in Sidhi district. Administrative officials are fully cooperating. As soon as the work of the railway line is completed, the dream of Sidhi district for years will be fulfilled. MP Rewa Shri Janardan Mishra suggested to get the work done on the project expeditiously. In the meeting, Collector Rewa Mrs. Pratibha Pal told that all the cases of land acquisition in Rewa district have been resolved. Collector Sidhi Swarochish Somvanshi said that the work of compensation distribution will be completed in seven days. There will be no hindrance in construction work at any place. Collector Satna Anurag Verma said that compensation for Satna-Rewa doubling will be distributed within a month as per the instructions of the government. There is no obstruction from Satna to Phulwari village. Senior Railway official MS Hashmi said that the construction work will be completed up to Baghwar station in Sidhi district by March and up to Rampur Naikin station by May. Construction work will start after the rains in Singrauli district. Chairman Municipal Corporation Shri Vyankatesh Pandey, Commissioner Rewa BS Jamod, DIG Saket Prakash Pandey, Superintendent of Police Rewa Vivek Singh and Railway officers GS Meena, Sunil Prajapati, RK Swai, Inderjit Verma, Mansingh Meena were present in the meeting. Collector Singrauli Chandrashekhar Shukla and other officials attended the meeting through video conferencing.
