Mumbai Crime Branch’s action, 26 Bangladeshis living illegally since January 1 arrested

Mumbai Crime Branch’s action against Bangladeshi citizens living illegally in India is ongoing. Since January 1, more than 26 Bangladeshi nationals have been arrested from different areas of Mumbai. According to Crime Branch officials, these arrested Bangladeshi nationals did not have Indian visas or other legal documents. These people were living in India illegally. After these arrests, the police is now interrogating these citizens so that the network of illegal immigrants can be revealed.

A senior Crime Branch official said that action against foreign nationals living illegally in India is continuing. During this operation, raids were conducted in various areas of Mumbai, especially in dense slums and dark areas.

Let us tell you that Mumbai Police has launched a campaign against illegal Bangladeshis living in Mumbai and arrested many Bangladeshi citizens from Muslim dominated areas of the city, Govandi, Shivaji Nagar, Mankhurd, Deonar, Chunabhatti and Ghatkopar. Among these arrests, there are many people who were living in Mumbai for 10 to 15 years.

Police recovered birth certificate, Aadhar card and other documents from these intruders. Investigation revealed that all these documents were fake. According to the police, the documents of these infiltrators were made by agents, who took Rs 5 to 10 thousand and prepared fake birth certificates and other important documents for these infiltrators, with the help of which their Aadhaar card was also made.

DCP Navnath Dhawale of Mumbai Police had recently said that strict action is being taken against Bangladeshis living illegally. Some people have also been arrested, some of whom had been living here for 10 or 15 years. These people came to India and were doing daily wage work like building construction, plumbing etc.
