According to IMD, due to western disturbance, cyclone circulation is forming in south-east Iran and surrounding areas. Apart from this, another cyclone circulation is lying over south-west Rajasthan and adjoining areas. Due to its effect, westerly winds along with western disturbance and easterly winds at lower levels can occur.

Light to moderate rain or snowfall may occur in the Western Himalayan region on January 11 and 12. Apart from this, light to moderate rain may also occur over northwest India and parts of central India. During the last 24 hours, light to moderate rain occurred over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, while Lakshadweep also recorded light rain. At the same time, dense to very dense fog was seen in parts of North India’s Punjab, Delhi and West Madhya Pradesh. Cold wave situation persists in Punjab.
