Beef was being sold for Rs 250 per kg
SSP Dr. Lal Umaid Singh said that the accused taken on police remand admitted that they were selling beef at Rs 250 per kg. Complete information about those who buy beef has been taken from them and they will also be interrogated. We are also collecting information about where else in the market the accused have sold beef.
At present there is no concrete evidence regarding the time since they were involved in the business of selling beef. However, the police suspect that this entire gang used to prey on the helpless cattle coming to the deserted place for the last few months.
However, till now not a single cattle farmer has registered the disappearance of his cattle in the police station. Therefore, it is believed that the stray cows were caught and slaughtered by the accused.
SSP said that the main accused in this entire case is Khurshid Ali. Khurshid’s three sons, Sameer and Irshad together used to slaughter and sell cows. The investigation so far has revealed that a total of seven people are involved in this incident.
After killing two cows, the accused sold the meat to many people. The cameras are also being checked so that those buying meat can be identified.
The team reached the spot. Goldie Sharma of Go Sevak Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad said that as soon as the information about the sale of beef was received, our team reached the spot and action was taken through the police. There will be a widespread agitation regarding this. In this sequence, the SP office will also be surrounded on Friday at 12 noon.
