India on Friday sent humanitarian aid to Cuba affected by Hurricane Rafael. The first consignment of aid includes essential medicines including antibiotics, painkillers, ORS.
External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said in a social media post that Vishwabandhu Bharat, India has sent humanitarian aid for the people of Cuba. A consignment containing essential medicines including antibiotics, anti-pyretics, pain relievers, ORS, muscle relaxants etc has been flown to Cuba today following Hurricane Rafael.
Hurricane Rafael made landfall in Artemisa province of western Cuba on November 6. Due to Rafale, winds were blowing at a speed of 185 kilometers per hour. The storm caused widespread power outages in Cuba and damaged many homes.
