Increase in forest area and wildlife activities is the achievement of the state: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that even in areas like Panna of the state, where the condition of wildlife had reached zero, as a result of the efforts of the forest officials, the activities of wildlife have resumed, this is a symbol of their commitment towards their service. And they deserve congratulations. Presently the state has diamond, leopard and now even Gajraj is moving towards Madhya Pradesh. The forest area of ​​the state is rich. Between 2003 and 2021, the forest area has increased by 1063 square kilometers. Bhopal is the only capital of the country around which tigers can be easily seen. This is a pleasant and environmentally significant achievement for our state. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the inaugural session of the two-day IFS (Indian Forest Service) Meet and Forestry Conference at Pandit Khushi Lal Ayurved College Auditorium. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated the conference by lighting the lamp and garlanding the statue of Mother Saraswati. Minister of State for Forest and Environment Mr. Dilip Ahirwar, Additional Chief Secretary Forest Mr. Ashok Varnwal, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Chief of Forest Force Mr. Aseem Srivastava and other IFS officers were present in the conference. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that such meetings are necessary for mutual dialogue, feeling of friendship, sharing of experiences and developing better work culture. Madhya Pradesh has abundant forest resources and there is immense potential for study and research in many disciplines including archaeology, geology, environment, botanical science. The Forest Department will have to take initiative to encourage and support studies in these areas. Similarly, activities to encourage the tourism sector should also be expanded. He praised the forest staff for effectively facing the challenge of displacement of villages in the context of Ratapani. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state government will provide all possible support for the development of forests and conduct of innovative activities.

Minister of State for Forest and Environment, Shri Dilip Ahirwar said that the forests and wildlife of Madhya Pradesh, rich in natural resources, are our identity. He said that the government is committed to their conservation and promotion. Many activities and programs are being run in the state keeping public participation at the center. Minister of State Shri Ahirwar said that the result of the honest and effective initiative taken by the state government for the conservation and promotion of forests is that along with the stability in the forest cover of the state, the efforts made towards the management of wild animals have been appreciated.
