News published in newspapers in which a bus driver was transporting passengers from Venkat Nagar via Jaithari to Anuppur via Jaithari, putting the lives of people at risk while transporting passengers on the roof of the bus.
Taking cognizance of this news, Superintendent of Police Mr. Anuppur immediately directed the traffic in-charge to take action. Following which, today the traffic police took action and imposed a fine of ₹ 5000 on the said bus driver. Mandakini bus number MP-65ZB- A challan of Rs 5000 was issued to the driver of 4257 (dangerous driving, driver being found without uniform and name plate and absence of first aid box in the vehicle).

During the campaign, for risk-free and easy transportation of passengers, a special campaign was run today and checking of passenger vehicles and buses going from Anuppur district headquarters to other places and coming to Anuppur from other places was done.
A total of 29 buses were checked during this period. Necessary documents of the buses including registration, insurance, fitness, permit, driver’s and operator’s license were checked and safety equipment like first aid box, firefighter etc. were checked. Through the above action, the bus drivers were also explained about the precautions to be taken while driving the bus and were also instructed not to transport more passengers than their capacity so that the transportation of passengers can be made systematic and risk-free.
