State Government’s Public Health Engineering Minister, Smt. Sampatiya Uike said that the government of the successful Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav is working with a spirit of service for the disabled people. The government has run various schemes for the development and upliftment of persons with disabilities. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has made them proud by naming them Divyangjan instead of handicapped. Serving the disabled is serving true humanity. Minister Smt. Sampatia Uike was addressing the social justice and equipment distribution program organized at Nishadraj Bhawan on Monday. On the arrival of Minister Smt. Sampatia Uike, she was welcomed by presenting a sapling. He started the program by lighting the lamp on the statue of Mother Saraswati. On this occasion, Municipal President Mr. Vinod Kachwaha, District Panchayat Mandla President Mr. Sonu Bhalavi, BJP City President Mr. Shiva Ranu Rajput, MP representative Mr. Jaydutt Jha, Collector Mr. Somesh Mishra, District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Mr. Shreyansh Kumat, Deputy Collector Mr. Ashutosh. Thakur, Chief Municipal Officer Shri Gajanand Naphade, Shri Prafulla Mishra and departmental officers and employees were present.
Minister Smt. Sampatia Uike said that the government provides monthly disability pension to the disabled people through social security pension. So that the disabled people do not have to face any kind of financial problems. Employment opportunities are provided to the disabled people by benefiting from various public welfare schemes of the government. Scholarships are provided to disabled people in schools and colleges. By organizing camps, they are provided free tricycles, crutches, hearing aids and artificial limbs. Minister Smt. Sampatia Uike said that the list of disabled people should be identified and made available through the Sarpanch and Secretaries at the Gram Panchayat level. So that all the disabled people can benefit from government schemes and artificial devices can be distributed.
Minister Smt. Sampatiya Uike said that the government is continuously working towards education, health, nutrition, employment and security for the disabled people. Seats are reserved for disabled people in government services, so that disabled people can also get the opportunity to go to government services. He said that in the coming days, Chief Minister Kanya Vivah program will be organized for the disabled people. So that disabled people can also get an opportunity to choose the bride and groom of their choice. Minister Smt. Sampatiya Uike distributed e-cycle rickshaws and helmets to the disabled people in the program organized. He said that for safety, one must wear a helmet while driving an e-cycle rickshaw.
