Ujjain Police on Wednesday raided four fake advisory centers running in the city. The police have taken into custody 120 young men and women working here. Along with this, computers and other documents have also been recovered from the centres. Police had received a complaint that fake advisory centers were running in the city. After this the police raided them today. During the raid, a total of 120 people were found working in four centres. Now the police is interrogating them to find out what and how they used to work in these centres.
Jiwajiganj Police has arrested three smugglers while smuggling Methylenedioxy (MD) from Ranmukteshwar Pulia. Police have recovered 49 grams of MD drugs from the possession of the accused. SP Pradeep Sharma said that on Tuesday, on the information of informer, Jiwajiganj police arrested Amjad son of Azgar Khan, age 40 years, resident of Piplon, Sultan alias Bhaji son of Mubarik Hussain, age 26 years, resident of Jansapura, Shadab alias Painter son of Salar Ahmed, age 26 years, resident of Loanmukteshwar Pulia. Begumpura has been arrested.
Section of NDPS Act imposed
49 grams of MD drugs have been recovered from the possession of the accused. Police have registered a case against everyone under Section 8/22 of the NDPS Act. A dozen cases are registered against the accused Sultan. These include sections of Madhya Pradesh Cow Prohibition Act, assault, Arms Act and NDPS Act.
Cases are already registered
Apart from this, four cases are registered against Shadab and two cases against Amjad. MD used to bring drugs from Mandsaur. Police said that during interrogation it has come to light that the accused had brought drugs from Mandsaur. The names of two other accused residents of Mandsaur have also come to light. Both were supplying MD drugs to the accused for many days. Mandsaur is also being raided in search of the accused. Other accused are also being interrogated.
