Action continues on illegal storage of paddy, 93 quintals of paddy worth Rs 3 lakh seized

Today, action was taken against illegal collection and transportation of paddy at 4 locations and 93 quintals of paddy worth about Rs 3 lakh were seized. On the instructions of Collector Avneesh Sharan, Food, Revenue and Mandi officials raided and took action. This will continue every day till paddy procurement. District Food Officer Anuram Bhadauria said that 60 bags of paddy were found to be stored illegally in Mahendra Grocery Store in village Kirari of Masturi tehsil. Which was seized and action was taken under the Mandi Act.
58 bags of paddy were also seized from Agarwal grocery store at headquarters Masturi. Under the guidance of SDM Bilha, Sukhsagar Maravi grocery store was inspected in village Sardha of Tehsil Bodri. 40 sacks i.e. 16 quintals of illegal paddy were found in Mr. Marawi’s house. Due to the shopkeeper not maintaining any kind of stock, it was seized and sealed with color marking under Section 20 of the Mandi Act. 74 bags of illegal paddy were found in the house of Devnarayan Sahu grocery store in Hirri under Tehsil Masturi. Seizure action was also taken against him.
