New Delhi
Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar has given detailed answers to all the questions being raised regarding Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) in India. Before announcing the dates of Delhi Assembly elections on Tuesday, the Election Commissioner clearly said that EVMs cannot be hacked in any way. During this, he also targeted American billionaire Elon Musk without naming him.
In fact, the world’s richest man Elon Musk had said during the elections in India that EVMs can be hacked and he does not trust it. On this, Rajiv Kumar has said that the person who is saying this, EVMs are not used in his own country.
Rajiv Kumar said that people start following the narrative which suits them. Let us tell you that American industrialist Elon Musk had said before the presidential elections in America that voting machines cause rigging in elections. He had demanded to conduct elections through ballot papers. He had said, “I myself am associated with technology. This is why computers cannot trust programs much. It is easy to hack.” However, the same Elon Musk had also praised the counting of votes in India. While raising questions on the counting being done in the US elections, Musk had given the example of India that how the counting of votes is done there in a single day whereas in America it takes one to one and a half months.
