The second trailer of Bollywood queen Kangana Ranaut’s much-awaited film ‘Emergency’ has been released. The film will hit the theaters on January 17, 2025. On the occasion of completion of 50 years of Emergency imposed in 1975, Kangana has shown the controversial aspect of history in her political drama, when former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had imposed Emergency in the country.
Second trailer release of ‘Emergency’
The second trailer of the film shows the turmoil in the country after the imposition of emergency. Kangana, seen in the role of Indira Gandhi, is attacked from all sides. In one scene, when the President questions her on taking the emergency decision alone, she says – I am the cabinet. Further in the story it is shown how war is declared in the country. The demand to ‘vacate the throne’ against Indira Gandhi is raised everywhere. In the film, Anupam Kher (Jayaprakash Narayan), Shreyas Talpade (Atal Bihari Vajpayee) and Milind Soman (Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw) will be seen.

Controversy over the release date of the film
The film directed by Kangana has been surrounded by controversies since the beginning. There was a lot of controversy regarding its censor certificate. Earlier the movie was scheduled to release on June 14, 2024. Then its release was shifted to 6 September. The Sikh community alleged that their community has been shown in a wrong image in the film. There was a demand to ban it. Outrage of Sikhs: Country Censor Board did not give censor certificate to the film. CBFC formed a revising committee and gave some suggestions to the makers for changes. Many scenes were asked to be removed. Ordered to put disclaimers on historical issues. After ensuring all these changes, the movie got the release date of January 17.
