Deputy Chief Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla has said that the country can be taken forward on the path of progress only by raising the level of education and health. Sports are important for physical and mental health. He said that winning and losing is a part of sports, participation in sports is necessary. He appreciated the efforts of SAM Global University and said that such events play an important role in enhancing the confidence and skills of the students. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla inaugurated the Western Region Inter University (Women) Chess Tournament (2024-2025) under the aegis of SAM Global University and Association of Indian Universities by lighting the lamp in front of the statue of Maa Saraswati at SAM University campus, Bhopal.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla also planted trees in the university campus. 255 women players from 60 universities of Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh will participate in the tournament. Sam Group Chairman Dr. Harpreet Singh Saluja, Vice Chancellor Dr. N.K. Tiwari and other representatives were present. Dr. Tiwari gave information about the achievements of the university.
