Vande Bharat train has made people’s travel more comfortable than before. Now preparations to run Vande Bharat Sleeper are in the final stages. For this, a trial run of Vande Bharat sleeper train is being conducted at a speed of 180 kilometers per hour in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. Railway passengers have been waiting for Vande Bharat Sleeper for a long time. At present, the trial run of the country’s first Vande Bharat sleeper train is going on.
Weight loading trial being carried out in the coach
Vande Bharat sleepers can be seen running on the railway tracks in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. Trial run of Vande Bharat Sleeper is being conducted on Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh, Mahoba railway section of UP and Kota railway section of Rajasthan. During the trial run, weight is being loaded into the empty sleeper coaches of Vande Bharat. The trial run of Vande Bharat Sleeper train is being conducted by Lucknow-based Research Design and Standards Organization (RDSO).
Where was the trial completed
The trial run of Vande Bharat Sleeper train started last week and it will be run in two phases at two places. Of these, RDSO completed the trial run in Jhansi division of North Central Railway (NCR) on Monday, December 30, 2024. Oscillation testing of Vande Bharat Sleeper in different modes – loaded (inflated/deflated) and empty (inflated/deflated) up to 180 kmph (test speed) has been completed at Vande Sleeper JHS Division.

Now the second phase of the trial run has taken place in Kota division of West Central Railway (WCR). Vande Sleeper is included in the second phase of the trial to be conducted in Kota division. Oscillation trials up to 180 kmph (test speed) in various modes, brake performance trials in various braking modes and coupler force trials in various operating + braking modes have been conducted. After the completion of the trial run, the people of the country will get the gift of Vande Bharat Sleeper Train. You can get the gift of Vande Bharat sleeper train before 26th January.

The trial of the country’s first AC sleeper Vande Bharat train has been completed. The train was tested at a speed of 180 kilometers per hour on the Delhi-Mumbai railway track in Kota Railway Division. Lucknow’s Research Design and Standards Organization (RDSO) is conducting trials of the train. Movement Inspector Sushil Jethwani and Loco Inspector RN Meena coordinated with the RDSO Lucknow team. Trial was conducted between Nagda, Sawai Madhopur to Kota.
The video of the trial was posted by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav on her X handle. It can be seen in the video that the Vande Bharat sleeper train is running at a speed of 180 and in the video, a glass of water kept in a coach of the train can also be seen, seeing which it can be guessed that the Vande Bharat train is running at such a high speed. But the glass did not waver. It did not even spill water. The trial of the train will continue in different areas for the entire month of January. After completion of the trial, the report will be sent to the Railway Ministry and Railway Board.
Trial taken at different speeds on one route
According to media reports, Rajasthan will get Vande Bharat AC sleeper train this year, which will leave from Marwar and run on the Delhi-Mumbai route. Its fare will be the same as chair car and executive category. The features of the train will be such that passengers will not face any problem. A centralized maintenance depot will be built in Jodhpur for the new AC sleeper model of the train, which will cost around Rs 166 crore. Not only this train, but all the Vande Bharat trains running across the country will be maintained here.
Senior DCM Saurabh Jain said that Vande Bharat was run between Rohal Khurd and Chaumahla in Nagda railway section of Kota and the trial was conducted with equal weight of passengers. On December 31, the trial was conducted at the speed of 130, then 140 and then 150. On January 1, 2025, the trial was conducted between 160 and Rohal Khurd Vikramgarh at a speed of 177 km. After this, the train covered the distance of 40 kilometers between Rohal Khurd and Kota at a speed of 180 kilometers per hour.
