Our government respects public welfare, public interest and public sentiments: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the state government stands firmly with the people. We will not tolerate any kind of harm to the public. Will bring the matter before the Honorable Court and will proceed with any action only in compliance with the order of the Court. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has appealed to the citizens not to believe in false rumours. We all are with the people. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that our government is public welfare, public friendly and respecting public sentiments. There is an appeal to the public not to get confused.

In a high level meeting at the Chief Minister’s residence late on Friday night, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav discussed with senior public representatives and top administrative and police officials as well as jurists regarding the transportation of Union Carbide waste and its disposal near Pithampur. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav along with Deputy Chief Ministers Mr. Jagdish Deora and Mr. Rajendra Shukla, Senior MP and State President Mr. Vishnu Dutt Sharma, Urban Development and Housing Minister Mr. Kailash Vijayvargiya and Chief Secretary Mr. Anurag Jain, Additional Chief Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Office Dr. Rajesh Rajoura. In the presence of Director General of Police Shri Kailash Makwana, Principal Secretary Law and senior officials, various aspects of the work related to waste disposal of Union Carbide were discussed.Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the Madhya Pradesh government is a government that gives top priority to the interests of the people. We have always moved forward in the interest of the public. In compliance with the instructions of the Supreme Court, the waste of Union Carbide has been transported to Pithampur. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that we have only carried out transportation following the safety parameters in accordance with the petitions and orders of the court. The Honorable Court had given a deadline for this work that the garbage should reach the designated place before January 4. The court expected its report by January 6. In this context, in compliance with the order, the transport order was given by the courts to the specified place which was told by them.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that it came to his attention that in such circumstances, this issue should reach the public for the sake of public sentiments. If there is any threat or feeling of fear among the public regarding security parameters, the State Government will make efforts to present this matter before the Honorable Court. Only after this any further action should be taken. Whatever order the Honorable Court gives, we will be ready to follow it. Will not proceed further until the court issues any instructions.
