Flying squad team has arrested two accused involved in illegal sale of skin and meat of leopard and bear in Ramanujganj forest range of Balrampur district. Apart from this, three accused who were looking for customers for the sale of ivory in Wadrafnagar forest range have also been arrested.

According to the information, complaints of smuggling of skins and ivory of wild animals were continuously being received from various areas of Balrampur Forest Division. After this, Surguja flying squad team raided the area and arrested three accused in Wadrafnagar forest range, who were looking for customers for the sale of ivory. In Ramanujganj forest area also, the flying squad team caught two accused involved in illegal sale of skin and meat of leopard and bear with Pulsar and Scooty vehicles. The arrested accused have been identified as Anil Kumar (resident of Babhni, District Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh) and Rambachan (resident of Puranidih, Ramanujganj). The flying squad team has seized Pulsar vehicle number UP 64 AD 0806 from accused smuggler Anil Kumar and scooter number CG 30 E 1027 from Rambachan and has started further action.
