Four laborers living without inner line permit have been caught in Manipur’s Thoubal district. Chief Minister N Biren Singh said that four laborers were caught for violating the Inner Line Permit (ILP) system. They were living without valid ILP cards and working at the Yaripok Bishnunah reservoir construction site.

The CM wrote on the X that the persons have been identified as Afsar Ali (22), Mohammad Sanfaraz (20), Mohammad Rahmatullah (23), Sahabaz Alam (20). The culprits were taken into custody by the Yeripok police and produced before the Executive Magistrate, Thoubal. Legal action will be initiated against them as per the provisions of the ILP system and steps are being taken to deport them from the state. I appeal to all employers, contractors and residents to cooperate with the authorities in effectively implementing the ILP system.

Assam police caught drugs
Assam Police has seized drugs worth Rs 15 crore. Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said that Yaba pills worth Rs 15 crore were seized by the police. Also two people have been arrested. Assam CM wrote in a post on X that based on reliable information, drugs worth Rs 15 crore were seized. Cachar police conducted a special operation on Ghunghur bypass and stopped a vehicle coming from the neighboring state. Upon search, 50,000 Yaba pills hidden in five packets were recovered from the vehicle. Two people have been arrested and the vehicle has been seized. He appreciated the efforts of Assam Police.
