Preparations for parties have started at various places on 31st December in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. In view of this, the Excise Department has issued its guidelines. Special teams have also been formed to keep a watch on late night liquor smuggling and parties.
Actually, preparations for 31st December and New Year have already started. Party like programs are organized for this at many places. The Excise Department has issued guidelines regarding this. Excise officer Manish Khare said that large-scale parties are organized to celebrate the New Year. Last year, 30 to 40 applications were received for organizing a one-day liquor party, but this time the number of applications has increased. All applications are being approved only after scrutiny.
A team has also been formed to monitor parties taking place in pubs and bars. Guidelines have been issued so that parties cannot be held after 12:00 midnight. The application will also be informed about how much liquor can be sold at one time. So that even illicit liquor cannot be transported.
