The birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna respected Atal ji will be celebrated as Gwalior Pride Day.

Gwalior’s beloved son and former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Late. This year too, the birth anniversary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee will be celebrated with great enthusiasm and pomp as “Gwalior Pride Day” on 25th December. On this occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will give Gwalior Gaurav Samman to 8 personalities of the district.

In the event of Gwalior Pride Day, performances by famous cine and bhajan singer Suresh Wadkar and his band will be given. A short film based on the life of revered Atal ji will also be shown at the function. There will also be an exhibition. In compliance with the announcement made by Chief Minister Dr. Yadav during the Tal Darbar program organized at Gwalior Fort last year, Tabla Day will also be celebrated on the occasion of Gwalior Pride Day. On this occasion, artists of the city will present tabla playing. Pride Day will be observed in Dattopant Thengadi Auditorium of Agricultural University, Gwalior.

On the auspicious occasion of Gwalior Gaurav Diwas, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav will honor 8 personalities of Gwalior who are doing remarkable work in the fields of education, sports, yoga, medicine, social service, protection of environment and culture, girl empowerment etc. with Gwalior Gaurav Samman. These personalities include litterateur and educationist Jagdish Tomar, international women hockey player Sukarishma Yadav, yoga guru Akhilesh Pachauri, senior doctor Dr. S.N. Iyengar, environmental protector Padmababa Seva Singh, Swarga Ashram organization engaged in the service of destitute and helpless people, Udbhav Sports and Culture Association which is working on organizing sports and cultural activities at international level and Suadya Dixit, a talented girl from Gwalior is a strong sign of girl empowerment. A huge three-day health camp will be organized in Gwalior.
