Chhattisgarh-Bilaspur: Two employees of cooperative bank dismissed and one demoted, action taken against manipulation in farmers’ bank accounts

Two employees of the District Cooperative Bank have been dismissed for misappropriation of lakhs of rupees in the bank accounts of farmers and other irregularities. Apart from this, demotion of one employee and salary increase of three employees has been put on hold.

The staff sub-committee of the cooperative bank has taken action after investigating the complaint received. In this, junior clerks Harshita Patel and Dharmendra Sahu have been dismissed. Apart from this, along with the demotion of Clerk cum Computer Operator Ruchi Pandey, two increments of Clerk cum Computer Operator Anamika Sao, Anupama Tiwari and Ashok Patel have been put on hold. According to the information, applicant Ramkumar Kaushik, an account holder of District Cooperative Central Bank Nehru Chowk Bilaspur, submitted a written application in Police Station Civil Line, District Bilaspur that about 5 lakh rupees were withdrawn from his savings account by an unknown person from 16.04.2020 to 16.05.2020 through ATM. 57000.00 rupees have been withdrawn. The decision to remove Harshita Patel from service was taken unanimously on the basis of the investigation officer finding the allegations against junior clerk Harshita Patel proven and the letter presented by the police station Civil Line regarding the investigation and Harshita Patel’s confession in the said letter.
