On one hand, the Indian team is busy preparing for the Boxing Day Test and has to face Australia in Melbourne, while on the other hand, Jasprit Bumrah has created history. India’s bowling ‘captain’ Jasprit Bumrah performed brilliantly in the third match of the ICC World Test Championship series against Australia in Melbourne, taking 9 wickets. With this he has jointly become the first Indian to score the most rating points in Test history.
Bumrah created history with his strong performance in Gaba Test
By taking 9 wickets for 94 runs in the Gabba Test, he added 14 points to his rating points and now he has 904 rating points. Earlier, Ravichandran Ashwin, who recently retired, had achieved the same number of points after the fourth Test against England in Mumbai in December 2016. Bumrah has taken 21 wickets so far in the series, which has helped him extend his lead at the top of the bowling rankings to 48 rating points. Kagiso Rabada (856) and Josh Hazlewood (852) are at second and third place.
Ravichandran Ashwin still included in top-5
Mohammed Siraj has moved up one place to 24th in the list and Travis Head has joined the top 100 in the list of bowlers.
