On Tuesday, a violent clash broke out between two groups in the old Galla Mandi of Jahangirabad area of the capital. There was heavy stone pelting from both sides. Some people in the crowd were roaming around with swords and sticks. About six people are said to be injured in this incident. A woman was badly beaten with sticks by the mob. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and brought the situation under control. In view of the tension in the area, heavy police force has been deployed.

Police station in-charge Ashish Upadhyay said that the reason for the dispute is related to the fight between youths that took place two days ago. Regarding the same, people from one side gathered on Tuesday morning and started pelting stones at the houses of the other side. Seeing this, people from the other side also came out with sticks and swords.
As soon as the news of the incident was received, top police officials reached the spot and took the situation under control. The area was converted into a cantonment by deploying heavy police force. So that any unpleasant situation can be prevented. A total of six people were injured from both sides. He was admitted to a nearby hospital.
