The protest against burning of Union Carbide’s toxic waste in Pithampur, 45 km from the district headquarters, is not stopping. District Congress today staged a huge protest against the burning of poisonous waste of Bhopal gas tragedy in the company of Pithampur Waste Management (Ramki) Group in the industrial area. State Congress President Jitu Patwari, former minister Sajjan Singh Verma along with local people also participated in the dharna. They raised slogans protesting against the burning of Union Carbide waste in Pithampur. During this, people protested with placards in their hands.

On this occasion, Jitu Patwari said, “These are the people of BJP who are intoxicated with the position they have got.” Bende became an elephant, the mad elephant lives in the forests. He is a MLA, isn’t it his responsibility to fight this battle? Her husband, who became a four-time MLA, was also an MP. It is not their responsibility that they too should come forward for this settlement. It is not their responsibility, they should also come forward. BJP’s behavior has become such that whatever votes it gets. Ego has become bigger than Ravana. This is not a one day fight, it is a continuous fight. This is not the fight of Congress and BJP, it is the fight of the citizens. State Congress will hold a big protest in the coming days regarding the matter.
