I think this is an attempt to weaken the regional parties.

It is hoped that the things we have put forward to the Finance Minister will be implemented. On the question of him driving his own car to reach the venue, he said that I remember that in my childhood I had seen that Rajiv Gandhi also used to drive a car. I drive because I have a hobby.
Let us tell you, Parliament has constituted a 39-member joint committee to consider the ‘One Nation One Election’ bill. This committee will be headed by former Union Minister and BJP MP PP Chaudhary. Of the 39 members of the committee, 16 are from BJP, five from Congress, two each from SP, Trinamool Congress and DMK and Shiv Sena, TDP, JDU, RLD, LJP (Ram Vilas), Jan Sena Party, Shiv Sena-UBT, NCP-(SP). , one member each from CPI(M), AAP, BJD and YSRCP.
Earlier, Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal had proposed to send the bill providing for simultaneous elections of Lok Sabha and Assembly in the lower house for the consideration of the Joint Committee of Parliament.
