Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla has said that the noble work of providing clean and nutritious food to the students is being done by Akshaya Patra Foundation. The cleanliness with which food is prepared here and keeping in mind the nutritional requirements is exemplary. He appreciated the dedication and spirit of service of all the employees working in the organization. Deputy Chief Minister Shukla visited the centralized kitchen of Akshaya Patra Foundation in Bhopal.
An important step towards nation building
Deputy Chief Minister Shukla said that this effort of Akshaya Patra Foundation is not only helpful in the physical and mental development of children, but it is also an important step towards nation building. Appreciating the efforts of the dedicated staff and management team of the institution, he expressed confidence that in the future this institution will extend its services to more children and will inspire other institutions as well.
Deputy Chief Minister Shukla praised the automated process, well-organized operations and planned functioning of the institution. He said that Akshaya Patra Foundation is not only providing clean and nutritious food to the children, but this work is being done in a very effective and exemplary manner. The well-organized functioning of the institution reflects its planned approach. Use of special vehicles for food delivery, strict adherence to time management, regular checking of nutritional quality and excellent coordination among the management team make it more effective.
Excellent example of strong partnership between government and private sector.
Deputy Chief Minister Shukla appreciated the contribution of Akshaya Patra Foundation at the national level. He said that this model is an excellent example of strong partnership between government and private sector. The organization is providing nutritious meals to approximately 22 lakh 50 thousand children in more than 23 thousand schools in 16 states and 2 union territories across India. It is noteworthy that from the kitchen of Akshaya Patra Foundation in Bhopal, food is being provided to about 35 thousand children of 645 schools under mid-day meal. Acharya Ratna Dasa, President of Bhopal Cluster of Akshaya Patra Foundation was present.
