Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla made an important announcement in the House on Friday. He said that no political party, Member of Parliament or group of Members will organize a dharna or demonstration at the gate of the Parliament House. He also said that it is the collective responsibility of all the MPs to maintain the dignity of the Parliament House complex and its prestigious institution.
Om Birla said that it is not right to protest at any door in the Parliament area. If any member or group does this, it will affect their reputation and action can be taken against them. Such activities harm the proceedings of the House and the dignity of the Parliament, thereby affecting the real spirit of democracy. He urged the MPs to maintain the dignity of the House and avoid any kind of demonstration in or around the Parliament House. Drawing attention to the responsibility of MPs, he said that Parliament is the most important temple of democracy, and it should be respected by everyone.
In fact, during the protest in the Parliament House complex on Thursday, two BJP MPs Pratap Sarangi and Mukesh Rajput were injured after falling from the stairs. BJP MPs allege that Congress MP Rahul Gandhi pushed him, after which he fell and got injured. However, Congress rejected these allegations outright.
BJP leaders had expressed a strong reaction to this incident. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also inquired about the well being of both the injured MPs. On the scuffle incident, Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi had said that Rahul Gandhi was peacefully going to the Parliament carrying the photo of BR Ambedkar and raising slogans of ‘Jai Bhim’. Who stopped him from going to Parliament? We have been protesting on the side for so many days. Whoever is coming and going, there is complete path for him. He demonstrated for the first time and stopped everyone, pushed and hooliganized. This conspiracy has taken place to save Amit Shah.

The protesting leaders are demanding the resignation of Amit Shah. This protest is being carried out from the statue of Dr. Ambedkar to Makar Dwar.
