Mahtari Vandan Yojana is improving the lives of women of Chhattisgarh. Women are meeting the needs of their households with the Rs 1,000 they receive every month from the government. Some women have started saving this amount and moving towards creating a new way to earn their living. Parvati Soni, a resident of Manendragarh development block of the district, bought a sewing machine with the monthly assistance received from Mahtari Vandan Yojana. Due to which she is now becoming financially strong. Mrs. Parvati Soni says that under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, which catalyzes women empowerment, an amount of one thousand rupees is reaching her account every month.

Due to Modi ji’s guarantee and Vishnu Dev Sai’s good governance, today one thousand rupees are coming into my bank account every month. This is a boon for women like me. And to strengthen their decisive role in the family, to remove discrimination, inequality and lack of awareness towards women in the society, to improve health and nutrition level and to promote economic self-reliance and empowerment, “Mahtari Vandan Yojana” was implemented. It was decided to do so. Under which the married, widowed, abandoned and divorced people of the state are above 21 years of age. Such women are provided financial assistance of Rs 1000 per month. Mahtari Vandan Yojana was launched by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 10 March 2024.

This scheme has infused a new hope and confidence among the women, and now they are fully prepared to improve their lives. There is an atmosphere of happiness among the women in the district regarding Mahtari Vandan Yojana. This scheme has given a ray of hope to women which will pave the way forward for them. Mrs. Parvati Soni has thanked the Prime Minister and the good governance scheme of Shri Vishnu Dev Sai of Chhattisgarh.
