Ayushman Vaya Vandana Card registration of senior citizens of 70 and 70+ age group is being done in the district. For this, while the health department staff is organizing camps in gram panchayats, villages and cities, Ayushman Vaya Vandana card registration is being done by reaching door to door for the elderly people who are unable to reach the camp site. As a result, Dhamtari district stands second in the entire state in Ayushman Vaya Vandana card registration. So far, more than 5 thousand 700 Ayushman Vaya Vandana cards have been registered in the district.
Please note that for Ayushman Vaya Vandana Card registration, the mobile number must be linked to the Aadhar Card. With this, free treatment benefit up to Rs 5 lakh can be availed. Under the scheme, Ayushman Vaya Vandana card registration work for all the senior citizens of the district (who are 70 or more than 70 years of age as per Aadhaar card) is being made continuously at village, ward, panchayat level. All the senior citizens (aged 70 and 70+) of Dhamtari district should visit their nearest sub-health center, primary health center, civil hospital Kurud, Nagari, Borai, Samu. Swa. Beneficiaries are registering Ayushman Vaya Vandana card by themselves at Gujra Center, Magarlod, Bhakhara, District Hospital Dhamtari, identified Choice Center of any private hospital registered under the scheme, Aadhaar Seva Kendra along with Aadhaar card and Aadhaar linked mobile number.
The registration team is facing difficulty in registering the cards due to the Aadhaar cards of many eligible senior citizens not being updated. In view of this, Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Kaushik has asked such eligible beneficiaries (senior citizens 70-70+) to go to the nearest Aadhar Seva Kendra and link their home or own active mobile number to their Aadhar card. Which gets updated within the next 2-4 or 24 hours. In this way, apart from Ayushman Vaya Vandana Yojana, one can easily avail the benefits of various government schemes.
Senior citizens will jointly receive an additional top-up of Rs 5 lakh under the scheme, which will be provided to the senior citizens even after other members of the family have partially or completely utilized the proposed insurance cover as per their eligibility under the scheme. Collector Ms. Namrata Gandhi has appealed to all the senior citizens of the district to avail the benefits of the scheme by attending their nearest health center or choice center, Aadhaar Seva Kendra as soon as possible and getting the Ayushman Vaya Vandana card registered. For this, mandatory documents Aadhaar card and Aadhaar linked mobile number will have to be presented.
