Bharatiya Janata Party MPs Pratap Sarangi and Mukesh Rajput got injured after falling from the stairs of Parliament House on Thursday. He accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of pushing him. Both have been admitted to RML Hospital. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju presented his views in Parliament regarding this matter. He said that the Congress party should apologize.
In the Rajya Sabha, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju said, “No one can raise hands like this. Honorable Speaker, the way Rahul Gandhi attacked two MPs has caused great anger among our members. If we behave in the same way and raise our hands in the same way, what will be the situation? We have numerical strength and we are not timid. If our people also start raising their hands like Rahul Gandhi, then how will democracy function? The Congress party should apologize not just to Parliament but to the entire country.”
Regarding the Dhakka incident, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that this is a dark day in parliamentary history. The decorum has been torn apart. Democracy has been tarnished. No other example of the hooliganism of Rahul Gandhi and the Congress Party can be bigger than this. Such conduct has never been seen in the parliamentary history of India. If they lost Haryana and Maharashtra then why are they expressing their frustration in Parliament? A workshop should be convened to train Rahul Gandhi and Congress people to understand conduct in democracy. I am saddened by this incident.
Shivraj Singh further said that Congress has been exposed by the speech of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. They are so disappointed with this that they have now resorted to hooliganism. We condemn this hooliganism. Union ministers Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Pralhad Joshi met BJP MPs Pratap Chandra Sarangi and Mukesh Rajput at RML Hospital. Both the MPs have been admitted here.
