Dhaka
In Bangladesh, former PM Sheikh Hasina had to flee the country on August 5 this year. There, under the guise of student movement, fundamentalists had overthrown him and during this period there was severe violence. Not only this, even now intermittently, there are reports of attacks on political workers. Meanwhile, Sheikh Hasina’s party Awami League claims that 400 of its workers have been killed. The party has claimed that since July this year, 400 of its people have been murdered during the period of the fundamentalist-led interim government of Bangladesh. According to the report, these people were killed by people of Jamaat-e-Islami and other fundamentalist organizations.

Awami League members say that most of their people were murdered by people of Jamaat-e-Islami. The Awami League says the killings were carried out by Chhatra Shibir, the student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami, which is notorious for such incidents. Sheikh Hasina’s party has also recently released a list, in which the names of 394 people have been mentioned. Awami League says that these people have been murdered since July till now. Party leaders say that this is only the initial figure. We will release another list in a few days, in which the number may also increase. Let us tell you that Sheikh Hasina is currently in India. From here, he addressed a program of Awami League online, which was organized in America.

During this time, Sheikh Hasina had accused the head of the interim government of Bangladesh, Mohammad Yunus, of killing Hindus and Christians. He had said that Mohammad Yunus is the mastermind of these murders. Let us tell you that the situation is not normal yet in Bangladesh. The interim government of Mohammad Yunus is surrounded by violence against Hindus. ISKCON saint Chinmoy Krishna Das is currently in jail on charges of treason. There is anger among Hindus all over the world including India regarding this. Even in the Parliament of India, concern has been expressed over the situation of Hindus in Bangladesh. Not only this, the Indian Foreign Secretary was also in Bangladesh recently and during this too he had raised the issue of violence against Hindus.

Chhatra Shibir, the student wing of the Awami League, was declared a terrorist organization during the Sheikh Hasina government. Many of its members were also sent to jail. Sources say that the period of violence against Awami League will continue in future also. There is talk of general elections at the end of next year or in the beginning of 2026. In such a situation, violence can also be resorted to to weaken the Awami League politically.
