Central Area Electricity Distribution Company is now going to provide permanent agricultural pump connections to the rural agricultural consumers in its work area for just Rs 5. The company has said that in order to increase the number of connections of agricultural pumps, it has been ensured that those farmers who are located near the available electricity lines, are easily given permanent agricultural pump connections as per their convenience.
According to the rules issued by the Madhya Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission, now after checking the safety rules in the service line installed by the consumers from the low pressure (LT) pole, a new permanent agricultural connection will be provided in the rural areas for just Rs 5. The process of filling the consumer’s new connection form in the Saral Samabandhan portal will also be done by the field staff of the company as per the rules. Security deposit of Rs 1200 per horse power will be added to the first bill of the consumer.
