Dayashankar Sahu, Secretary of Gram Panchayat Sharma of Surajpur district of Chhattisgarh, has been suspended on charges of embezzlement of lakhs of rupees. This action has been taken after the villagers of Gram Panchayat Sharma complained about embezzlement.
Let us tell you that recently the villagers had gone on hunger strike and fast, accusing Secretary Dayashankar Sahu of embezzlement and demanding action against him. After which this action has been taken against the Secretary under the Panchayat Act.
