Cold wave continues to wreak havoc in Madhya Pradesh. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has issued a cold wave alert in 37 districts including Indore and Jabalpur. Due to icy winds, the temperature of Madhya Pradesh is continuously falling. For the first time in the season, the mercury reached 1 degree in hill station Pachmarhi and Kalyanpur of Shahdol. According to the Meteorological Department, due to the icy winds coming from North India, the state is experiencing severe cold. During the last 24 hours, the lowest temperature was recorded at 1 degree in hill station Pachmarhi and Kalyanpur in Shahdol. With this, the minimum temperature in the capital Bhopal remained at 4.2 degrees Celsius. Minimum temperature was recorded at 4 degrees in Jabalpur, 5.2 degrees in Gwalior, 9.4 degrees in Indore and 6.8 degrees in Ujjain.
Among the cities with lowest temperature in the state, Kalyanpur and Pachmarhi of Shahdol had the coldest night. Along with this, 2.3 degrees were recorded in Umaria, 2.5 degrees in Mandla, 2.8 degrees in Shajapur and 3.2 degrees in Amarkantak. The havoc of cold is being seen in Betul. Here drops of dew froze on the crops. Whose video has also surfaced. In which dew is visible frozen on the leaves of sugarcane. In such a situation, it is becoming difficult to irrigate the fields. According to the Meteorological Department, after the year 2021, a record drop in temperature has been recorded this year.
Cold wave alert issued
Falling temperatures along with icy winds have made the weather much colder. Cold wave alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department in more than 30 districts. Cold wave outbreak will be seen in districts like Jabalpur, Ratlam, Umaria, Bhopal, Mandla, Guna, Seoni, Neemuch, Shajapur, Shahdol, Barwani, Narmadapuram, Pachmarhi, Sagar. It is going to be cold here at night as well as during the day.

The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of dense fog and cold winds for 20 to 22 days from the end of December to the beginning of January. Cold wave in Indore, Ujjain, Khandwa, Alirajpur, Gwalior, Bhopal, Burhanpur, Mandsaur, Jhabua, Shivpuri, Ashok Nagar, Dewas, Shivpur Kala, Datia, Shivpuri, Bhind, Dindori, Singrauli, Panna, Tikamgarh, Sagar, Balaghat, Satna. The effect will be visible. There is also a possibility of frost in districts like Umaria, Rajgarh, and Shajapur.
The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of cold wave for the next 48 hours. Orange and yellow alerts have been issued in Shajapur, Agar-Malwa, Rajgarh, Sehore, Raisen, Umaria, Shahdol, Anuppur and Mandla. There is an orange alert of cold wave in Bhopal and Jabalpur also. Yellow alert of cold wave is issued in Neemuch, Mandsaur, Jhabua, Alirajpur, Barwani, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Dewas, Shivpuri, Morena, Bhind, Chhatarpur, Panna, Satna, Singrauli, Katni, Dindori, Pandhurna, Seoni and Balaghat. Along with this, the mercury also remained below 5 degrees in Umaria, Mandla, Girwar of Shajapur, Amarkantak of Anuppur, Raisen, Rajgarh, Malajkhand of Balaghat. The temperature was recorded below 6 degrees in Naugaon, Malajkhand, Rewa, Khajuraho, Satna, Tikamgarh.
There will be severe cold in the next 24 hours. Due to the cold winds in the ocean, these days people in the city go indoors at 6 in the evening and consider it appropriate to leave the house after 10 in the morning. Even on Sunday, cold winds chilled us throughout the day. The maximum temperature was recorded at 26.8 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature was recorded at 8.6 degrees Celsius, 4 degrees below normal.
However, due to reduced wind speed, there has been a slight increase in the day and night mercury. According to the Meteorological Department, due to the effect of cold winds coming from North India, the period of severe cold will continue in the next 24 hours. There is a possibility of mild relief after 48 hours.
