Public Health Engineering Minister Smt. Sampatiya Uike has expressed deep condolence on the demise of famous Baiga painter Padmashree Jodhaiya Bai of village Lodha in Umaria district. He said that Jodhaiya Bai not only preserved the Baiga tribal culture with her unique art and amazing skills, but also made India’s cultural heritage proud by giving it global recognition.
Minister Smt. Uike said, “The artworks of Padmashree Jodhaiya Bai provide a unique depiction of the depth of tribal life and our cultural diversity. His works not only preserved our traditions but also gave them a new energy and identity. His contribution is a milestone for our cultural heritage and will always be a source of inspiration.”
Describing Jodhaiya Bai as a powerful cultural symbol, Minister Mrs. Uike said that she cherished the aesthetics of tribal life in her art and presented it to the whole world. His legacy will remain an inspiration for future generations.
Mrs. Uike has prayed to God to grant peace to the departed soul and give strength to the bereaved family to bear this immense grief.
