Minister of State for Forests, Dilip Ahirwar said that organizing the Forest Fair is a unique event in itself. He said that the forest fair will be based on “women empowerment through minor forest produce”. Women play an important role in minor forest produce management. About 50 percent women participate in minor forest produce collection work in the state. Apart from the people of the state, people from different states of the country wait for this fair. He informed that the 10th International Forest Fair will be organized from 17th to 23rd December at Lal Parade Ground, Bhopal. He said that the fair will provide a comprehensive platform to showcase activities, products and opportunities in the field of minor forest produce and medicinal plants and establish dialogue between collectors, producers, traders, entrepreneurs, scientists, administrators and policy makers. Will get it done.

State Minister Ahirwar said that 300 stalls are being set up in the forest fair. In which district unions, Van Dhan Kendras, herb collectors, producers, farmers, Ayurvedic medicine manufacturers, manufacturers and sellers of traditional food items of the state will display and sell their products. Exhibitions will be organized by various government departments in the fair. Ahirwar said that a two-day international workshop on “Women Empowerment through Minor Forest Produce” will be held on December 19-20 at the fair venue. Representatives from Sri Lanka, Nepal and Australia are participating in the workshop. State Minister Ahirwar said that the buyer-seller conference will be held in the forest fair on 21st December. Which includes high quality minor forest produce, herbs and MFP. Contracts will be made for the purchase and sale of Ayurvedic medicines manufactured by the park. He said that OPD will be operated in the fair, in which free medical consultation will be provided daily by Ayurveda doctors and treatment experts. He said that there is a possibility of 25 thousand people getting treatment in this.

State Minister Ahirwar said that various cultural programs will be organized in the Forest Fair. In which there will be programs of orchestra, street drama, folk dance, singing for school students, painting, fancy and dress. He said that famous folk singer Smt. Malini Awasthi will be organized on 18th December, comedian Ehsaan Qureshi on 19th December, Sufi Band on 20th December, Fiddly Craft on 21st December and “Ek Sham in the name of Forest Department” will be organized in the forest fair on 22nd December and on 23rd December The closing ceremony will take place on.

Minister of State for Forests Ahirwar said that the inaugural ceremony of the International Forest Fair will be held on December 17 at Lal Parade Ground at 5 pm under the chief hospitality of Governor Mangubhai Patel and the chairmanship of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav.
