Veer Bal Diwas is celebrated on 26 December to commemorate the sacrifice of Sahibzada Zorawar Singh and Fateh Singh, the brave sons of the 10th Sikh Guru Gobind Singh Ji. On this occasion, events focused on the sacrifice of brave sons will be organized in the schools of the state.
On the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas, there will be painting, story and essay writing activities on the themes “India of my dreams”, “What makes me happy”. For secondary level children, there will be essay writing, poetry, debate and digital presentation on the topic ‘Role of children in nation building and my vision for developed India’.
The School Education Department has instructed all the District Education Officers to narrate inspirational stories of the Prime Minister’s National Children’s Award winners to the children in the prayer meetings in the schools of their districts. Maximum participation of children should be made in storytelling sessions, creative writing, poster making and quiz competitions on MyGov/MyBharat platform.
