The cold in Madhya Pradesh is giving a freezing feeling. Cold wave occurred in MP’s Raisen, Rajgarh, Khandwa, Shajapur, Umaria, Mandla, Seoni, Naugaon (Chhatarpur), Anuppur, Neemuch, Shivpuri, Singrauli, Panchmarhi. The situation is that the lowest minimum temperature in the state was recorded at 1°C in Kalyanpur (Shahdol) / Panchmarhi (Narmadapuram). IMD has issued a cold wave alert in many districts of the state during the next 24 hours.

Orange alert in these districts

During the next 24 hours, the Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rains in Burhanpur, Khandwa, Alirajpur, Jhabua, Dewas, Mandsaur, Ashoknagar, Shivpuri, Ditya, Bhind, Morena, Sheopur Kalan, Singrauli, Satna, Dindori, Katni, Seoni, Balaghat, Panna, Sagar, Tikamgarh, Maihar, Pandhuna, Vidisha, Harda, Barwani, Neemuch, Mauganj, Rajgarh, Yellow alert has been issued for cold wave in various parts of Agar and Chhatarpur districts. Frost may also occur at some places.

The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert of cold day in Sidhi, Narisinghpur, Chhindwara districts during the next 24 hours. According to meteorologists, the state is experiencing severe cold due to the cold winds coming from North India. During the last 24 hours, severe cold wave was observed in various parts of Anuppur, Shivpuri, Narmadapuram, Barwani, Neemuch, Singrauli, Umaria, Mandla, Rajgarh, Ratlam, Seoni and Guna districts of Madhya Pradesh. Rajasthan, adjacent to MP, is also experiencing severe winter. The minimum temperature in Fatehpur has been recorded below zero degree Celsius for several days. The minimum temperature was recorded at 1.6 degrees in Churu, 2.2 degrees in Bhilwara.
