Timings of all nationalized banks will change in Madhya Pradesh, rules will be applicable from January 1

Bhopal
Now uniform customer service timings will be fixed in the nationalized banks of the state, which will provide convenience to the customers. With this change, the timing of opening and closing of banks will be fixed, which will further ease banking services.

Customers and banks will get the facility at the same time
The service timings of all the nationalized banks of the state will now be from 10 am to 4 pm. Some banks may be given some relaxation in time as an exception, but in most of the banks this time will be applicable from January 1.

This proposal was put forward in the meeting of the State Level Bankers Committee (SLBC), which was placed before Chief Secretary Anurag Jain. The meeting was chaired by the Convenor of SLBC and Central Bank of India. On the instructions of the Chief Secretary, district level advisory committees under the chairmanship of the Collector are contacting the banks in the districts.

Inconsistency in time caused problems to customers
Till now banks had different timings. Some banks used to open at 10 am, some at 10:30 am and some till 11 pm. This often caused inconvenience to customers, especially when dealing between two banks in the same day. Now with uniform timings, customers will easily know when the bank will open and close.

There will be ease in work between banks also
Due to the same timings of banks, there will be convenience in banking work also. Working at different times in the same day can be avoided. With this, the work of banks will run smoothly and customers will be able to get banking services without any hassle.
