Fast bowler Mohammed Shami has been included in Bengal’s 20-member squad for the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy. Shami played in all nine matches for Bengal in the recent Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, taking 11 wickets at an economy of 7.85. His knee became inflamed during the tournament, which hampered his preparation for Test cricket. He is trying to regain his fitness for the ongoing Test series in Australia. Apart from Shami, fast bowler Mukesh Kumar is also a part of the Bengal team led by Sudeep Kumar Gharami. Mukesh is currently in Australia as a fast bowling reserve. Bengal will start its campaign against Delhi on December 21 in Hyderabad. The players will leave for Hyderabad from Kolkata on Wednesday.
