Former Deputy Prime Minister and founder of BJP Lal Krishna Advani admitted to Apollo Hospital

Lal Krishna Advani, former Deputy Prime Minister of India and founder of the Bharatiya Janata Party, was admitted to Apollo Hospital in Delhi late night. His health has remained critical for the last few weeks. Today the latest information about his health has been given by Apollo Hospital.

According to ANI, Advani has been admitted to ICU. He is undergoing treatment under the supervision of Dr. Vineet Suri. His condition is currently said to be stable. Apollo Hospital officials have given this information.

Earlier this year also on July 4, Advani was admitted to Apollo Hospital. A few days before that, he was taken to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for treatment. He was discharged from the hospital the next day after treatment at AIIMS. After this, he was also admitted to the hospital on 6th August. However, his daughter Pratibha Advani had told that he was taken to the hospital for routine checkup.

Let us tell you that Advani was born in Karachi (now in Pakistan) in 1927. He was the Deputy Prime Minister in the government led by Atal Bihari Vajpayee from 2002 to 2004. Advani started his political career as a volunteer of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). In 2015, Advani was awarded the ‘Padma Vibhushan’, India’s second highest civilian honour. He was awarded the Bharat Ratna in 2024.
