Two-time Olympic medalist badminton player PV Sindhu got engaged to Venkat Dutta Sai on Saturday (December 14). Sindhu will tie the knot on December 22 in Udaipur. The engagement took place in a private ceremony on Saturday. The date of Sindhu’s wedding was revealed just a few days after her title win at the Syed Modi International in Lucknow. Wedding related programs will start from December 20. PV Sindhu has also shared the picture during the engagement.

Former world champion Sindhu, who ended her long title drought with victory at the Syed Modi International in Lucknow on Sunday, will marry Hyderabad-based Venkat Dutta Sai, who is an executive director at Poseidex Technologies. Earlier he was seen inviting many people including cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.

Sindhu is considered one of India’s most legendary players, having won five medals at the World Championships, including a gold in 2019. Apart from this, he has also won silver and bronze medals in the Olympic Games. The champion badminton player won consecutive Olympic medals at Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 and achieved a career-best world ranking of number two in 2017.
