Prime Table Tennis League in Madhya Pradesh started today at the famous Abhay Prashal in Indore. This league is going to add a new and exciting chapter in the history of Indian table tennis. Om Soni, President, Madhya Pradesh Table Tennis Association (MPTTA) said, “We are proud to have launched the prime table tennis league in Madhya Pradesh. This league promises to give a new direction to the game. With a unique team structure and diverse talent, this league is set to change the face of table tennis in India.”
The league consists of eight teams: Clippers, Ninjas, Sensations, Spartans, Thunderbolts, Warriors, Lion Warriors and King Pong. The first phase of the tournament will be held from December 13 to 15, 2024. The league started with exciting matches. In Pool A, Match 1, King Pong defeated Ninja 7–6. Highlights of the match included Sumit Mishra and Parmi Pankaj Nagdeve’s 0-2 loss to Kartikeya Kaushik and Pooja Sharma, Atharva Singh’s 2-1 win over Prajjwal Yadav and Zakia Sultan’s 2-0 win over Hiya Patel. In the other match of Pool B, Lion Warriors defeated Spartans 7-6. Harsh Sachanandani and Advika Agarwal defeated Pratham Batham and Pavi Pardeshi 2-1, while Anuj Soni defeated Yash Agarwal 2-0.
In Pool A, Match 3 of the Prime Table Tennis League, Clippers defeated Sensation with a thrilling 7-6 win. In the match, Pankaj and Anusha defeated Shivam and Himani 2-0, while Vansh Chauhan and Yashraj Goswami lost 1-2. Sumaiya Sultan defeated Anya Trivedi by a score of 0-2, while Abu Bakr and Viaan won 2-1 over Pranjal and Sarthak. Anusha Kutumbale defeated Himani Chaturvedi 2-0, while Viaan and Anya defeated Yashraj and Sumaiya 2-1. In the final singles match, Narendra Singh faced defeat from Kishore Motorwani with the score of 1-2. There were no golden singles in this match and the Clippers won with a score of 7-6.
