Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on Prayagraj tour today i.e. on Friday. PM Modi has arrived here to take stock of the preparations for the world’s largest cultural gathering Mahakumbh 2025. During this period, PM Narendra Modi will gift schemes worth Rs 5500 crore to Sangam city. PM Modi worshiped the Kumbh Kalash here for the success of Mahakumbh. PM Modi reached the Sangam via river cruise and met the saints. After which he worshiped Ganga. During this period, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was also present with him.

PM worshiped Mother Ganga
Prime Minister Narendra Modi started his one-day short visit here on Friday with the darshan and worship of Mother Ganga. PM Modi worshiped Mother Ganga as per rituals. Offered milk and chunari to him and performed aarti and prayed for the happiness and prosperity of the people of the country. On this occasion, Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also worshiped Mother Ganga. PM Modi also worshiped at the Akshaya Banyan Tree site located on the banks of Sangam and later he visited the lying Hanuman Hanuman temple and Saraswati well. The Prime Minister reached Prayagraj as per his scheduled schedule at around 12.15 pm. Where he was welcomed by the Governor and the Chief Minister.

Gift of Rs 5500 crore to Sangam city
Prime Minister Modi will take stock of the preparations for Mahakumbh 2025 some time from now and will inaugurate development projects worth more than Rs 5500 crore in Sangam city. He will visit the Mahakumbh exhibition site at around 1.30 pm. The Prime Minister will inaugurate various projects for Mahakumbh 2025. This will include various rail and road projects such as 10 new Road Over Bridges (ROBs) or flyovers, permanent ghats and riverfront roads to boost infrastructure and provide seamless connectivity in Prayagraj.

PM will also inaugurate infrastructure projects
In line with his commitment towards a clean and clear Ganga, the Prime Minister will also inaugurate projects to stop, tap, divert and treat small drains leading to river Ganga. This will ensure that untreated water from reaching the river Ganga is completely stopped. He will also inaugurate various infrastructure projects related to drinking water and electricity.

Will inaugurate the main corridors and chatbot of the temple
The Prime Minister will inaugurate the major corridors of the temple. These include Bhardwaj Ashram Corridor, Shringverpur Dham Corridor, Akshayvat Corridor, Hanuman Temple Corridor etc. These projects will ease the access of devotees and will also promote spiritual tourism. The Prime Minister will also launch the Kumbh ‘Sahayak’ chatbot. This chatbot will provide guidance to devotees about Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 and latest information about programs.

There are tight security arrangements
Tight security arrangements have been made in view of the Prime Minister’s visit. Impenetrable security arrangements have been made for the arrival of PM Modi. A large area from the airport to Sangam has been declared a no flying zone. All three corps of the army, water, land and air, will take charge of the security. State and central intelligence agencies are on alert mode. More than nine thousand policemen are deployed along with the Special Protection Group (SPG). Apart from this, RAF and PAC soldiers are also seen ready at various places. Accurate shooters (snipers) have been deployed at important places. Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) and Anti Sabotage team are also ready at the venue.
