Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that Sondwa Micro Lift Irrigation Project will prove important for irrigation in the area. With this, farmers will get sufficient water for irrigation. The work of diamond polishing and cutting in Chhaktala will provide employment opportunities to the youth of the area. This will also stop migration for employment in other areas. He said that soon Narmada water will also be available to 169 villages of Sondwa region. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the bhoomi pujan ceremony of Sondwa Micro Lift Irrigation Project costing Rs 1732.45 crore at Chhaktala in Alirajpur district. He approved from the stage itself the upgradation of Girls Higher Secondary School, Mathwad High School to Higher Secondary School and the construction of a total of 13 roads from Katthiwada to Sondwa.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the Sondwa Irrigation Project will help in giving more than one crop to the area. Which will open the doors of economic empowerment. This project will also help in preventing migration to other areas in search of employment. The problem of water shortage will also be solved by the Sondwa project. Today is a historic day for Alirajpur district. Today, the bhoomi pujan of Rs 15.14 crore Chhaktala diamond polishing and cutting work project has been performed in Chhaktala. This will also create new employment opportunities for the youth. The youth of Alirajpur will also be able to do diamond carving work. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that seeing the people excited by the gifts received by the area residents, it seems as if the festival of Bhagoria is being celebrated. He said that the dance of Bhagoria and the beat of dholak attracts the gods also. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the Bhagoria festival here is world famous. They will try to join it next year.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that 55013 hectares of land in 169 villages of the district will be irrigated through the Sondwa Micro Lift Irrigation Project. This will also bring economic prosperity, the lives of the common people will improve, people’s style of living will change and the future of the coming generations will be secure. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav instructed Alirajpur Collector to submit the report of survey of electricity requirement. He said that after reviewing the report, it will be ensured that electricity is provided as per requirement.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Geeta Jayanti was also organized recently. Along with this, Jan Kalyan Parv will be organized in the entire state from 11 December to 26 December and Jan Kalyan Abhiyan will be organized from 11 December to 26 January 2025. In this, 76 types of schemes and 63 types of services will be made available to the citizens at their homes by visiting every village. 81000 Prime Minister’s residences have been constructed in the district. 87000 farmers of the district receive an amount of Rs 12000 under the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi and Chief Minister Kisan Kalyan Yojana.
Referring to the glorious history of Alirajpur, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that revolutionary martyr Chandrashekhar Azad, who had given the slogan that I am free, will remain free, feels fortunate to have come to such a holy land. Referring to Krantisurya Tantya Mama, he said that he used to take money from the British and distribute it among the poor people. He said that a university has been started in Khargone in the name of Tantya Mama.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav sanctioned a loan of Rs 24 lakh to the beneficiary of Ladli Brahmin Yojana for the oil mill under the PMFAE scheme of the Horticulture Department and handed over the check to Dipanshu’s father Ashok Thepadiya. He presented Ayushman card to Gamariya Chauhan. On this occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav released the ‘Janhit Ke Prayas’ coffee table book prepared by the district administration. This book contains a snapshot of the innovations made in the district in the last year.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was welcomed in the program by Scheduled Caste Welfare Minister Nagar Singh Chauhan, MP Mrs. Anita Nagar Singh Chauhan, District Panchayat President Mrs. Hazribai Kharat, other public representatives and a large number of citizens of the area were present.
