Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla said that the government is committed to making Madhya Pradesh a leader in the field of health services. Continuous work is being done to create a large network of health facilities in the state. Deputy Chief Minister Shukla reviewed the expansion, upgradation and renovation works of MY Hospital, Indore in the Ministry. He discussed in detail the future-oriented strategies to make health services more comprehensive and effective and gave necessary instructions.
Deputy Chief Minister Shukla directed that while expediting the work, the convenience of patients and ease of medical services should be given top priority. He directed to quickly prepare a proposal for a 1350-bed state-of-the-art hospital to strengthen health services in Indore. He directed to finalize the proposal of Nursing Hostel and Cancer Hospital and forward it. Deputy Chief Minister Shukla said that these upgradation works will give new dimensions to the quality and availability of health services in Indore region.
Deputy Chief Minister Shukla discussed the progress of the construction work of the proposed 650-bed Medical College Hospital and its associated approach road in Satna. He reviewed the status of the ongoing upgradation work at Rewa Medical College Hospital and gave instructions. Principal Secretary Health and Medical Education Sandeep Yadav, Commissioner Health Tarun Rathi, MD BDC Dr. Pankaj Jain along with senior officials of Health Department, PIU and Madhya Pradesh Building Construction Corporation were present.
