The Excise Department raided Ganiyari and Sudanpara villages of Kota block and seized 182 liters of Mahua liquor and 990 kilograms of Mahua Lahan. One accused was arrested in the action taken at three places.

At the same time, like every time, this time also in two cases the team could not find the owners of the liquor. This illegal liquor was being made near Anganwadi center and pond. Action has been taken in the matter under the Excise Act.

Assistant District Excise Officer Kalpana Rathore, Sub Inspector Dharmendra Shukla, Netram Banjare, Chief Constable Janak Ram Jagat, Subhash Tiwari, Umesh Chauhan, Jaishankar, Kamlesh, Constable Prabhuvan Baghel etc. were involved in the raid.

Mafia fear in the village
The people of the village refused to give any kind of information due to fear of liquor mafia. It is being told that there is a fear of illegal liquor makers in the area. Illegal liquor is being manufactured without any fear in this area and the police and excise team are also aware of it, but no attention is being paid to it.

The recovered Lahan was destroyed on the spot after Panchnama action. In all three cases, a case has been registered under Section 34(2) and 59(a) of the Chhattisgarh Excise Act. The arrested accused Sameer Sahu was produced in the court and sent to jail.

The team also raided the villager’s house, one arrested
In Ganiyari itself, the team raided the house of Sameer Sahu and recovered 9 liters of Mahua liquor. The accused has been arrested and a case has been registered under sections 34(2) and 59(a) of the Excise Act.

92 liters of Mahua liquor was kept hidden behind the Anganwadi center in Ganiyari village. Which the team has seized. The department has not found any accused in this case.
