Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Pujan of 1614 development and construction works costing Rs 536 crore 14 lakh in a program organized at PG College Ground, Bikapur and said that this will accelerate the development of Surguja district. On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced Rs 23.90 crore for infrastructure development of Ambikapur Municipal Corporation area. He also announced to develop Super Specialty Hospital Ambikapur on the lines of DKS Raipur and to rename University Engineering College as Government Engineering College.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister inaugurated the Chief Minister Anna Fund Scheme with the aim of providing additional nutritional food to the pregnant and infant mothers of the special backward tribe Pahari Korwa community in Surguja district. This scheme has been started as a pilot project by the district administration Surguja. This will help in reducing maternal mortality rate and infant mortality rate in the hill Korwa community. Chief Minister Sai also released the career directory prepared by the district administration.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, while paying homage to Mother Mahamaya and congratulating the people of the district for the development work, said that Ambikapur is included among the most beautiful and clean cities not only in Chhattisgarh but in the country. All this has been possible with the contribution of Municipal Corporation officers and employees, our Safai Mitras and Swachhta Didis. I would also like to give credit to the citizens of Ambikapur, with whose cooperation Ambikapur has remained clean and beautiful.

The Chief Minister further said that the public has believed in the guarantees of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Chhattisgarh government is completing one year on 13th December. In this short period of one year, the government has tried to complete the big works guaranteed by Modi. In the last five years, houses of poor needy families who were deprived of Prime Minister House are being sanctioned and constructed. The government is purchasing 21 quintals of paddy per acre. The government is committed to giving the price of paddy to the farmers at Rs 3100 per quintal.

The Chief Minister said that more than 70 lakh mothers and sisters are being benefited through the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. The remuneration for tendupatta is now Rs 5500 per standard bag. Through Shri Ram Lala Darshan Yatra Scheme, more than 20 thousand devotees have got the privilege of visiting Ayodhya Dham and seeing Lord Ram. As promised, we have worked to bring transparency in the PSC exam. CBI is investigating the corruption that took place in the PSC recruitment process last year. While addressing the program, Deputy Chief Minister Sao also congratulated the people of Surguja for the inauguration and Bhoomi Pujan of the development works of the district.

During this, he also distributed materials and funds to the beneficiaries under various schemes of the government.
