According to the Meteorological Department, moisture is coming from the Bay of Bengal, whose impact will be more in Surguja division today. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder in many districts of Surguja division. There is a possibility of light rain in many districts of other divisions also.
It is cloudy since morning in many districts including the capital. There has also been light drizzle at some places. Due to cloudy rain in the state, the day will be cold and the night temperature will increase. Today the day temperature in Raipur is likely to be around 28 degrees and the night temperature is likely to be around 20 degrees.

The weather remained dry in Chhattisgarh on Saturday. The maximum temperature of the state has been recorded in Durg at 30.6 degrees and the lowest minimum temperature has been recorded at 8.8 degrees. Surguja division remained the coldest during the day. The day temperature here was recorded at 26 degrees.
Cold will increase from December 10
Due to the active system, there will be rain in many districts of the state till the next day, 9th December. After this, there is a possibility of rain on December 10 only in the southern part i.e. Bastar division. As soon as the system weakens, the temperature on the night of December 10 will drop by 2 to 3 degrees and there will be severe cold from the third week of December.
